Pork Bone Broth

A rich and savory broth made from pork bones for everyday soups and stews.

Ingredients

  • 2 kg pork neck and femur bones
  • 1 onion, halved
  • 1 knob ginger, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 2 scallions
  • 4 L cold water

Method

  1. optionalBlanch bones for 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
  2. Add bones, aromatics, and water to a large pot.
  3. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a gentle simmer.
  4. Simmer 8-12 hours, skimming foam as needed.
  5. Strain and cool quickly before storing.
