Chicken Bone Broth

A lighter everyday broth with clean flavor and balanced body.

Ingredients

  • 2 whole chicken carcasses (or 2 kg mixed bones)
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 3.5 L cold water

Method

  1. optionalRoast bones for 25 minutes at 210°C for deeper flavor.
  2. Combine all ingredients in a stockpot.
  3. Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce to low simmer.
  4. Simmer 8-12 hours for a clean but rich broth.
  5. Strain and season later when using in recipes.
